Our mission is to prepare youth to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime and instill in them the Scout Oath and Law values.
Vision Statement:
Scouts BSA will prepare every eligible youth in America to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law.
SCouting Teaches:

Outdoor Skills
Forget classrooms; Troop 1096 uses the great outdoors!
Hiking, camping, and exploring teach essential skills like teamwork, leadership, and self-reliance. Scouts build character, learn to respect nature, and gain a love for adventure – all in the fresh air! There is no greater teacher than the great outdoors.
We are a boy-led troop and empower our members to take the lead in deciding their own adventure and personal growth. Our trained leaders aim to foster a lifelong love of the outdoors in our scouts.

Timeless Values
Scouting goes beyond knots and camping!
Troop 1096 believes that the Scouts BSA program instills in youth the values found in the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives.

The Scout Oath and Law become a moral compass for life. Through adventures and teamwork, Scouts put honesty, respect, and responsibility into action, building strong character that lasts a lifetime.

Servant's heart
Scouting isn't just about campfires!
Along with an emphasis on providing a robust outdoor program, Troop 1096 is also a service-oriented troop.
Scout-age youth experience dramatic physical and emotional growth. Scouting offers them opportunities to channel much of that change into productive endeavors.
Scouts become lifelong helpers, thanks to the motto "Do a Good Turn Daily." Through service projects and helping others, Scouts build empathy, teamwork, and leadership skills, all while making a real difference in their communities.
